 Eczema (Dermatitis)  
Eczema is an umbrella term that encompasses skin disorders.  
The most common type of eczema is atopic dermatitis, an allergy
which has an inherited tendency. It often occurs in infants with a
sensitivity to food. The child inherits the condition from one parent
who has asthma or hay fever.   
In atopic dermatitis, a red, itching rash with blisters may occur on
the head, scalp, face, buttock, inside of elbows, or behind the knees.
It usually clears up when the child is two or three years old, but it may
flare up again at any age. Atopic dermatitis often alternates with
asthma and hay fever.  
Another type of eczema is seborrheic dermatitis. It is a condition which
causes dandruff of the scalp. It is known as "cradle cap" in infants. It is
caused by a disorder in the functioning of sebaceous glands which
nourish the scalp. 
Contact dermatitis, on the other hand, is a local inflammation of the
skin caused by exposing the skin to a substance to which one is hyper-
There are two types: Allergic dermatitis and irritant dermatitis. 
Allergic dermatitis is an inflammatory pruritic skin condition which
flares up on contact with a foreign substance such as poison ivy.  
Irritant dermatitis is an irritation caused when the skin is in direct contact
with a substance to which it is allergic to such as detergent, soap, plastic,
hair dye, cosmetic, and certain foods. The symptoms are redness of the
skin, swelling, oozing blisters, and profused itching. 
Homeopathic Treatment Goal 
Do not treat eczema topically, doing so may lead to a serious internal disease. 
Eczema is considered an external condition caused by an internal disorder. 
When you treat a skin eruption with a topical ointment, you drive the very
toxin that the body is trying to eliminate back into the system giving the
toxin an opportunity to concentrate on another organ or tissue.

Rhus toxicodendron is indicated in the treatment of eczema, symptoms
include red swollen blisters, itching made worse from heat; dark red vesicle

Antimonium crudum treats cradle cap, the formation of a thick crust. 
Petroleum is indicated in the treatment of eczema, symptoms include
dry, itchy skin made worse from scratching.  
Psorinum is indicated in the treatment of atopic dermatitis; the condition

Calendula oil treats weeping eczema. 
Thuya treats eczema in infants and babies; an eczema that develops
after a vaccination. 
Silicea is an excellent remedy in the treatment of suppurating skin
eruptions; it treats dry brittle hair, fingernails, and toenails. 
Sulphur treats eczema, dermatosis, itchy, dry skin made worse from
Saponaria drains the skin.
Juglans regia is used as a diuretic or liver tonic; it treats infected eczema. 
Mezereum for infected eczema covered by a thick crust with pus. 
Natrum muriaticum for a thick, scaly formation on the hair margin. 
Home Remedies for Eczema (Dermatitis)

Avoid the offending irritant.

Follow a gluten-free diet.

Drink 1/4 c of wheat grass, per day.

Dry brush your skin before taking a shower.

Lubricate the skin before and after a shower with sesame oil.

Wear cotton clothes

Drink lemonade for vitamin C.

Eat plenty of dark green leafy vegetables.

Take one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water, twice a day.

DrinkTaheebo tea, it is beneficial for eczema.

Drink eight to ten glasses of water, per day.

Reduce stress.
